Scout Road Academy is a small, semi rural school set on the edge of Mytholmroyd in Calderdale with a capacity to take 112 pupils.
The school is a busy and exciting place to be with learning taking place both within and beyond the classroom. High quality teaching and learning with an emphasis on having fun underpins our outstanding achievements.
In 2013 Ofsted rated our school Good overall with outstanding Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural Education.
The school at present has four classes. Our Foundation Stage class is located on the ground floor in our new extension. This class has access to an exciting, newly designed outdoor play area with a range of equipment. Year 1/2 are taught together and also work closely with the EYFS children. Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 are also taught as mixed age classes.
We have a dedicated ICT suite which is used by all classes. We are lucky to have the luxury of a separate Dining Hall where children can eat freshly prepared school meals from our kitchen.

Our outdoor area comprises of a playground and a playing field, equipped with a trim trail. We Have a garden with raised beds and a small pond.
The school was completely refurbished and extended in 2009 making it a bright and comfortable environment in which to learn.
In September 2011 Scout Road Primary School became Scout Road Academy.
